Appointment Information

New Normal

During the pandemic our office has made some changes that will affect your appointment. This includes potentially having an appointment by phone or by telehealth (video link) instead of in person. If your appointment is in person (in the office or the hospital clinic) you and your child will be required to wear a medical mask. If you do not have one, we will provide one for you. We are also trying to limit the number of people in our office and ask that only ONE caregiver attend the appointment. Please do not bring other children or siblings to the appointment.

First Appointment

Once we receive a referral, your child will be added to our waitlist and we will contact you to book an appointment. Typically, the first appointment lasts 60-90 minutes. The appointment may be in our office or at the UHNBC (hospital) Paediatric Clinic. We will confirm the location with you at the time of booking. We are proud to be a teaching clinic for medical students and residents, and your child may be seen by one of these medical learners.

Follow Up Appointments

The paediatrician will advise you of the plans for a follow up appointment at the end of each appointment. Our office will contact you closer to the expected follow up time to schedule the appointment. Follow up appointments are between 20 and 60 minutes.
